Anyone seen my socks?

Ok, so I had a job interview this morning. No, I'm not looking to stop my tenure as a tractorwheel scraper - that is what I do full time - but I did get asked to an interview in Slabograd as some sort of science test subject at Prof Probious's labs. Now I was definitely up for it - I had dug out my best pants and everything, but then I encountered a problem... I had lost my socks. I do have more than one pair of socks, but there are only two that exist without holes. And since my last pair of shoes - as issued by Schmerdiakov in 1998 - have holes at the front, unless I wear my good socks my toes poke out and I look like a right pickle inspector.

So the question remains... where are my socks? Anyone seen them...

Err. Hold on a minute. What's this???? Desmond my new pet goat has them! He's munching on them... [hey give me those back...]. Ah, bojemoi, he's chewed a hole in the front. Ok, I really need some new socks... anyone have any ideas?

Comrade.. I know at first hand how it feels to looks like a pickles inspector. Fear not though I do have a spare pair of socks.... but they says 'no1 pig lover in Slabovia'. Is this a problem?
